TT Baked Oatmeal

Good morning, Blogger Buddies and welcome to another Tutorial Tuesday! Before we begin, let me give you an anti-tutorial..

What NOT to do post-midnight:
try on your new purple wool coat from the mall you're super excited about
(bad idea: you won't want to take it off)
add felt flowers to hat and put on along with scarf
(bad idea: you may start to overheat)
begin photo session in the bathrom (shower curtain makes a good backdrop?)
(bad idea: you are not a pro and you waste a lot of time getting pics you're not actually in)

post pics on blog for all to see...

But seriously--am I ready for Girls Weekend in Chicago this Saturday or what?!
I'm ecstatic about rocking my fav color jacket. Maybe it'll make winter more bearable (hmmm)
ok.
And now, let's focus on why you really clicked on my blog today....TUTORIAL TUESDAY!!

Baked Oatmeal

3 eggs, beaten
1 cup oil
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
5 1/4 cups oatmeal
4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Beat eggs with fork and pour in large bowl. Notice action shot of eggs being mixed. Wildness, huh?!
Add all other ingredients to the beaten eggs
and mix well
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan
Bake @ 350 degrees

***40-45 minutes: 35 minutes covered in aluminum foil.
Remove foil last 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with milk and brown sugar (very important)
Raisins? if that's your thing
(that's so not my thing!)

This is a delish dish for brunches. I almost took this to MomTime this morning but didn't have enough to make 2 pans. And there was no way my family was going to let me take the only one away...Sorry, Mom Time--maybe next week!

Do you think you'll try this?....the ingredients are simple enough you may find them in your kitchen already.  And the whole 'one bowl' thing?!  that's my kinda breakfast.
enjoy!

  2. Baked oatmeal is best when your friend comes over in her pjs and has it all ready to go into your oven. All you have to do is give hugs - oh and eat!!
