my 'favorite' right now... love wisdom like a sister; make insight a beloved member of your family... Proverbs 7:4
ReplyDeletehowever picking just one all time favorite (so hard) I always come back to this one... and now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, an you will overflow with thankfulness... Colossians 2:6,7
why you ask- that takes a little more thought. I so want to know his wisdom/insight and teach our children to seek him for that instead of human thinking. continuing with that thought, we as believers will be thankful and thankfulness does overflow as we choose each day to follow Christ and his ways-

I'm a Proverbs 3:5-6 girl because I need to be reminded not to lean on my own understanding.
ReplyDeletePsalm 86:11-12 was my life verse for awhile, largely because they are great verses, but slightly because they were someone's (maybe Christy's) life verses in a Christy Miller book :)
ReplyDeleteThis week (depends on what I'm convicted about to be favorite:)) it's Philippians 2:14, etc... EVERYTHING do without grumbling or arguing...then you will shine among them (the crooked and perverse generation) like stars. Why? Because it's sooooo true, and sooo hard without the Spirit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my blog! I'm your newest follower. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite verse is:
"But these things I plan won't happen right away.
Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place.
It will not be late by a single day."
-Habakkuk 2:3
It gives me peace knowing that no matter what is going on RIGHT NOW, everything is as it should be. I must be patient in this moment.

Psalm 126:3 "The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy!"
ReplyDeleteThat's our family verse because the Lord gave us two beautiful daughters in such a unique way! And they fill us with joy!
(You didn't say to comment twice so I'm only leaving one)
Hmmm right now I'm pondering 1 Peter 5:6, oh you might as well add 7 too. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Waiting for God's timing is hard and humilty even harder but they are the best place to be.
ReplyDeleteJames 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
ReplyDeleteIronically it is comforting to know that we all will face trials and that through those trials we grow.
Thanks for the comment sweet lady! Sooo since I'm checking out your bloggy blog I might as well enter this sweet little giveaway :)
ReplyDelete5 “Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.
Habakkuk 1:5
I'm loving this verse right now. I lead a Bible study with some girls that are about to graduate high school. I have been encouraging them with this verse & it has really struck me as well. I love the promise that the Lord will do things that I couldn't even imagine, even if I was told!
